Replacing the infrared heaters (heating elements).
13.8.1.
General safety information
DANGER
Risk of serious personal injury or death and material damage to the kiln by touching live
parts when operating.
Before working on electrical components, the kiln must be disconnected from the power
supply.
WARNING
Risk of serious personal injury and damage to property caused by activities on and with
the kiln by unqualified personnel.
The heating elements should only be replaced by a qualified electrician!
NOTE
Impurities on the quartz glass tubes of the infrared heaters will damage them in the
next firing.
Make sure that no dirt gets onto the quartz glass tubes of the infrared heaters, or
clean them immediately if necessary.
Replace damaged heating elements immediately.
Damaged heating elements should only be replaced by qualified electricians.

Since residual moisture is removed from the
insulating firebricks during the initial firing,
the size of the kiln body can still change
minimally.
After the first few firings, it may therefore be
necessary to slightly retighten all the
tensioning straps of the stainless steel kiln
casing of the lid, main ring and floor.
Tightening straps that need to be tightened
can be recognised by their loose fit. They
can easily be moved by hand.
Check all straps from top to bottom for
loose fit.
Tighten the bolt on the corresponding
tightening strap one after the other half a
turn clockwise up to a maximum of one full
turn.
