15. Decommissioning
15.1.
General information
When decommissioning and storing the kiln, observe the country-specific laws, regulations and standards. It is
recommended that the kiln be decommissioned by a qualified specialist company.
15.2.
Storage & preservation
A few points must be observed to keep an unused kiln functional over a long period:
The storage room must be dry and clean.
Make sure the temperature in the storage room is constant.
Place the kiln on a level surface to prevent the kiln casing from warping.
Cover the kiln completely to prevent dirt and dust from entering it.
The manufacturer assumes no liability or warranty for corrosion damage that occurs as a result of improper
storage (e.g. storage in rooms with damp ambient conditions).
The following work must be carried out before recommissioning after a long period of storage:
Remove all covers and packaging.
Check all safety equipment and replace damaged components immediately. Observe the notes and
inspection steps in Section 7.
Clean the kiln. Please refer to Section 11.
Check the complete kiln according to the maintenance schedule. Please refer to Section 12.
15.3.
Disassembly
WARNING
Risk of serious personal injury or property damage caused by an incorrectly dismantled
kiln!
INFORMATION
It is recommended that the kiln be disassembled by a qualified specialist company.
The kiln should only be dismantled by qualified personnel.
Put the kiln out of operation (pull out the power plug).
Secure moving parts (e.g. lid).
When dismantling the kiln, only lift it using the lifting or transport points provided.
Pay attention to the centre of gravity of the kiln and use transport locks.
When dismantling, make sure that the permissible loads are not exceeded.
Prohibit unauthorised access during the entire dismantling work.
