11 REGOLAZIONE TENSIONE RAGGI
RUOTA

Avvertenza per ruote a raggi
Controllare dopo i primi 1500 km e successiva-
mente ogni 5000 km l'integrità e la tensione dei
raggi ruota.
La marcia in condizione di tensione raggi non

corretta o in presenza di uno o più raggi rotti,
può danneggiare la ruota con conseguenti ri-
schi riguardanti la sicurezza e la stabilità del
veicolo.
Rispettare in ogni caso le prescrizioni di carico
massimo consentito.

• Rimuovere la ruota come descritto nei cap. 8-9 sez.
10;
• Rimuovere il pneumatico, la camera d'aria e il
paranippli;
• Individuare i raggi ruota "1" da tendere;
• Operare sul nipplo "2" per regolare la tensione del

raggio "1" interessato;

avvitare per tendere il raggio;
-
svitare per allentare il raggio;
• La coppia di serraggio indicativa dei nippli è:
-
ruota anteriore 3 Nm;
-
ruota posteriore 4 Nm.

• Ripetere l'operazione per tutti i raggi procedendo in
ordine di successione;
• Dopo aver regolato la tensione dei raggi ruota, pro-
cedere alla verifica del gioco assiale e radiale del cer-
chio ruota.

PERICOLO
Non regolare la tensione dei raggi ruota con
pneumatico montato sul cerchio perchè potreb-
be causare la rottura dei paranippli e conse-
guente foratura della camera d'aria.

PERICOLO
E' importante bloccare la rotazione di tutti i
nippli.
L'allentamento del nipplo modifica la tensione
del raggio ruota compromettendo la sicurezza
dei cerchi ruota e la stabilità del veicolo.

11 ADJUSTING WHEEL SPOKE TENSION
Important notes regarding spoked wheels
After the first 1500 km (1000 miles) and
thereafter every 5000 km (3000 miles), check the
condition and tension of the wheel spokes.
Riding the motorcycle with incorrect spoke
tension or with one or more broken spokes can
result in damage to the wheel with consequent
grave risks for safety and the stability of the
bike.
Always observe the maximum permissible
loading prescriptions.
• Remove the wheel as described in chaps. 8-9 section
10;
• Remove the tyre, the inner tube, and the nipples guard;
• Identify the wheel spokes "1" that require tensioning;
• Adjust nipple "2" to regulate the tension of the spoke
"1" in question;

tighten to tension the spoke;

loosen to reduce spoke tension;
• The approximate nipple tightening torque is:
-
front wheel 3 Nm;
-
rear wheel 4 Nm.
• Repeat the operation for all the spokes, proceeding
sequentially;
• After having adjusted wheel spoke tension, check axial
and radial play of the wheel rim.
DANGER
Do not adjust wheel spoke tension with a tyre
on the wheel because of the risk of breaking
the nipple guards and consequently puncturing
the inner tube.
DANGER
It is essential to secure all the nipples against
rotation.
Loosening of a nipple will alter spoke tension
with resulting reduction of the safety of the
wheels and possible negative consequences on
the stability of the motorcycle.
