Il regolatore è tarato per mantenere la tensione di batte-

ria a valori compresi fra i 14÷14.6 Volt. La lampada spia
(accesa a motore spento, chiave inserita) si spegne quan-
do il generatore inizia a caricare (circa 700 giri).
NB. Il regolatore "Ducati" 1a serie è stato mon-
tato in produzione fino al telaio n. LK 111944.

ERIFICHE SUL REGOLATORE
Per il controllo del regolatore non sono sufficienti le nor-
mali attrezzature di officina, diamo comunque qui di se-
guito alcune indicazioni su misure che servono ad indi-

viduare un regolatore sicuramente difettoso.

L REGOLATORE È SICURAMENTE DIFETTOSO SE
Dopo averlo isolato dal resto dell'impianto presenta cor-
to circuito fra massa (custodia alluminio) e uno qualsiasi
dei cavi d'uscita.

HINDENGEN
Il regolatore è tarato per mantenere la tensione di batte-
ria a valori compresi fra i 14,2 ÷15,2 Volt.
Questo regolatore non prevede la spia rossa di carica
sul cruscotto.

EGULATOR
The regulator has been calibrated in order to maintain
battery voltage at a value between 14÷14.6 Volts. The
pilot light (illuminated when the engine is not running,
but the key is inserted) will switch off when the alternator
begins to charge (approx. 700 rpm).
N.B. The "Ducati" 1st series regulator was
installed in production up to frame number LK
111944.

EGULATOR CHECKS
Normal workshop tools are generally insufficient for
regulator checking, however, listed below are certain
operations that can be carried out in order to detect
regulators that are defective.

HE REGULATOR IS CERTAINLY DEFECTIVE IF
After having isolated it from the rest of the system short
circuits can be detected between ground (aluminium
casing) and any of the output cables.

HINDENGEN
The regulator is calibrated to maintain battery voltage at
14.2÷15.2 Volts.
There is no red charge warning light on the dashboard
associated with this regulator.
N.B. The "Shindengen" 2
fitted in production from frame no. LK 111945.
