BATTERIA

Rimuovere i tappi;

Riempire ciascun elemento della batteria con acido
solforico densità 1,28 (1,23 per i paesi tropicali) fino
a 15 mm sopra le piastre di separazione;
•
Lasciare riposare per almeno 20 minuti;
•
Verificare il livello dell'elettrolito, se occorre rinnova-
re con lo stesso acido portando il livello alla misura
precedentemente indicata (non riempire mai fino al

bordo);
•
Rimettere i tappi.

STRUZIONI PER LA MANUTENZIONE DELLE BATTERIE
CARICHE CON ACIDO

Le batterie cariche secche attivate dopo carica di
riavviamento o ricevute cariche con acido devono esse-
re trattate con le seguenti avvertenze:
•
Aggiungere
DEMINERALIZZATA o DISTILLATA (mai acido) in
modo che a riposo il livello dell'acido sia di 15 mm
sopra i separatori;

Mantenere puliti e serrati i morsetti e ingrassati con
vasellina;
•
Mantenere asciutta la parte superiore della batteria
evitando traboccamenti di acido, che riducono l'iso-
lamento o corrodono telai e cassette di contenimento;
•
Assicurarsi che l'impianto di carica a bordo non dia

cariche eccessive od insufficienti, tenendo presente
che la densità dell'acido deve mantenersi fra 1,21 e
1,28. Se ciò non avvenisse occorre rivedere l'isola-
mento e l'efficienza dell'impianto di carica e di avvia-
mento;
•
Se la tensione ai poli è inferiore a 12,3 v (densità

elettrolito < 1,21) la batteria deve essere ricaricata;
•
Le batterie immagazzinate cariche con acido devono
essere periodicamente ricaricate con intensità pari a
1/10 della capacità, mantenendo il livello corretto o la
densità di 1,28 a 25°C;
•
Le batterie devono essere montate sul veicolo, ben
serrate dai congegni di fissaggio mantenendo attivi i

dispositivi antivibranti.
N.B.
Per le batterie destinate a funzionare in climi
tropicali (temperatura media maggiore di 33

si consiglia la riduzione della densità dell'acido
a 1,23.

Battery voltage is 12 V with 24 Ah capacity. The battery
is charged by the alternator.

NSTRUCTIONS FOR THE ACTIVATION OF DRY BATTERIES
• Remove the plugs;
• Fill each battery element with sulphuric acid, specific
gravity 1.28 (1.23 for tropical countries) up to 15 mm
above the separation plates;
• Leave to rest at least 20 minutes;
• Check the electrolyte level, if necessary top up with
the same acid bringing the level to the previously
indicated level (never fill up to the rim);
• Refit the plugs.

AINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS FOR BATTERIES CHARGED
WITH ACID
Dry batteries activated after being recharged or received
charged with acid must be handled with care, following
these warnings:
• At least every month add DEMINERALISED or
ACQUA
DISTILLED WATER (never acid) so that when at rest
the acid level is 15 mm above the separators;
• Keep the terminals clean and tightened and greased
with Vaseline.
• Keep the battery upper part dry, preventing acid
spillage which otherwise reduces isolation and
corrodes frames and housings.
• Make sure that the charging system does not convey
excessive or insufficient charges, always remembering
that the acid specific gravity must be between 1.21
and 1.28. If this is not the case, check the insulation
and the working order of the ignition and charging
system;
• If the voltage at the poles is lower than 12.3 V
(electrolyte specific gravity < 1.21), the battery must
be recharged;
• Stored batteries filled with acid must be periodically
recharged with intensity at 1/10 of their capacity, by
maintaining the proper level or specific gravity of 1.28
at 25°C;
• Batteries must be installed on the vehicle, firmly
secured by the fixing devices and keeping the vibration
damping pads on.
N.B.
For batteries that will be used in tropical

climates (average temperature higher than 33
C)
it is recommended that the electrolyte specific
gravity be reduced to 1.23.
