10 CONTROLLO/SOSTITUZIONE
PASTIGLIE FRENI
Ogni 3000 Km controllare lo spessore delle pastiglie fre-
ni:
• Spessore minimo del materiale d'attrito 1,5 mm.
Se lo spessore minimo del materiale d'attrito é inferiore
al suddetto valore, é necessario cambiare le pastiglie.
Dopo la sostituzione non occorre eseguire lo spurgo de-
gli impianti frenanti, ma è sufficiente azionare le leve di
comando ripetutamente fino a riportare i pistoncini delle
pinze nella posizione normale.
In occasione della sostituzione delle pastiglie, verificare
le condizioni delle tubazioni flessibili; se danneggiate
devono essere immediatamente sostituite.
N.B.
In caso di sostituzione delle pastiglie é oppor-
tuno, per i primi 100 Km, agire sui freni con mo-
derazione, al fine di permettere un corretto as-
sestamento delle stesse.
La moto è equipaggiata con pinze che permettono la
sostituzione delle pastiglie senza essere rimosse dai ri-
spettivi supporti.

10 BRAKE PAD CHECK/REPLACEMENT
Check the thickness of the brake pads every 3000 km
(2000 miles):
• The minimum thickness of friction material is 1.5 mm.
If the minimum thickness of the friction material is less
than this value, the pads must be renewed.
After replacement, it is not necessary to bleed the braking
system, simply operate the brake levers repeatedly until
the calliper pistons assume their normal position.
When replacing the pads, check the condition of the
flexible brake lines; they must be replaced immediately
if damaged.
N.B.
After the pads have been replaced, use the
brakes with moderation for the first 100 km (60
miles) in order to allow them to bed-in correctly.
The motorcycle is equipped with callipers that allow the
pads to be replaced without removing them from their
respective supports.
