6. Screw the PG fitting B back in. Pay attention that the sealing
ring is positioned correctly.
7. Connect the shield on both sides of the bus cable directly to
the plug housing (EMC housing) if non-pre-assembled
cables and plugs with metal housing are used. This protects
data lines from terminal interferences.
Ensure that the plug housing is securely fitted to the bus
coupler housing.

Connecting the bus coupler as a final station

1. Set up the correct pin assignment (see Tab. 5 on page 105)
on the plug connections if you do not use pre-assembled
wiring.
2. Connect the incoming bus connection only to X71 (1).
3. Remove the PG fitting B.
4. Terminate the bus with switch S8 (in the "ON" position) with
the internal bus terminator
(see "Setting the bus terminator" on page 122).
5. Screw the PG fitting B back in. Pay attention that the sealing
ring is positioned correctly.
6. Cover the X72 (BUS OUT) socket with a protective cap (2).
7. Connect the shield on both sides of the bus cable directly to
the plug housing (EMC housing) if non-pre-assembled
cables and plugs with metal housing are used. This protects
data lines from terminal interferences.
Ensure that the plug housing is securely fitted to the bus
coupler housing.
A potential equalization line of at least 10 mm
between the devices to avoid compensating currents from
flowing over the shield of the bus coupler.
