Tare Button

• The Tare function provides a "Net Weight".
• After the bed is zeroed, the tare function is performed to zero out all additional gross weight items (mattress,
pillows, other equipment) you add on the frame.
• A limit of 60 kg of gross weight can be tare on the bed frame after the scale has been zeroed.
• When you perform the tare function it will deduct the added gross weight and display just the patient's weight.
When the "Tare" button is pressed on the Scale screen,
Figure 8 .2a will be displayed .
If "Ok" is pressed, the tare function begins and the "Do not
touch bed" message will appear as shown in Figure 8 .2b .
If "Cancel" is pressed, the command will be cancelled . If the
bed gets into an auto shutoff at this stage, the Tare request
will be cancelled .

When the "Do not touch bed" message disappears and the
tare function is complete, Figure 8 .2c will be displayed .
Press the Close button and Figure 8 .2d will be displayed .
Note "gross Weight" has been replaced with "Net Weight"
above the weight box and the Zero text reappears which
identifies the bed weight (Gross or Net) being 0kg +/- 0 .5kg .
Note
The "Tare" function will reset all the values for the different
patient's weights . All the data stored in the touch screen
concerning the weight of the patient will be lost .
