third parties may have manipulated it.
• Perform the following inspections before every ride and make any settings
that are necessary. Nonobservance may lead to damage to the bicycle or fai
lure of important parts!
INITIAL OPERATION
The bicycle was delivered in the pre-installed condition for shipping-technical reasons. This me-
ans that not all parts and screws will be tightened ex works. Before initial commissioning, you
must tighten and may have to set the following components:
• Saddle clamp
• Headlights
• Handlebar, stem and any
handlebar attachments (such as brake grips,
bell, gearshift lever, rotary handle switch, display/operating unit)
For more detailed information about setting and installation, see the following chapters of the bi-
cycle components.
BEFORE STARTING THE RIDE
Before every ride, you must check the following parts for function or tight fit:
• Lighting
• brakes (incl. tightness at hydr. brake system)
• deflection/damper/shock
• handlebar
• pedals
• rims (check for wear and concentricity)
• tyres (check for damage and barometric pressure)
Additionally, you must comply with the intervals indicated in the maintenance plan for regular in-
spection and repair and observe the care and maintenance instructions (see chapter Mainte-
nance | Care).
