GENERAL SAFETY NOTES
DANGER OF ACCIDENT AND DAMAGE!
• The bicycle was delivered in the preinstalled condition. Before initial com
missioning, it is therefore mandatory that the bicycle be set, adjusted and
DANGER
checked for tight fit of the components and screws (see chapter "First com
missioning").
• Make sure that the bicycle is adjusted to your body size. Otherwise you may
not be able to operate or control the bicycle properly.
WARNING!
• Always wear a certified bicycle helmet to prevent injuries.
• Prefer very visible clothing with light colours and reflection stripes so that
other road users can see you better and sooner.
• The bicycle has turning and movable pats. Wrong clothing, improper handling
or lack of attention leads to danger of injury.
− Wear closefitting trousers. Use cycle clips if necessary.
− Make sure that clothes that hang down cannot get into the spikes, e.g. in
case
− Wear slipproof shoes with a stiff sole that provide enough support to the
foot.
• Ride with particular caution in bad weather, such as wet, snow or ice, or delay
your ride to a later time. In particular the brake performance may reduce
strongly in detriment weather!
• Always switch on the lighting in bad visibility conditions! Consider that not
only you will see better when the lighting is on, but that other road users will
be able to see you better as well.
• The maximum permitted total weight of the bicycle must not exceed the value
indicated in chapter "Technical data". The total weight includes the bicycle,
the rider and any load (e.g. basket and side bags, including contents, child
seat incl. child, trailer including trailing load.). Exceeding this may cause da
mage and accidents with a risk of injury!
• Technical changes may only be made in accordance with the legal regulations
prevailing in your country (Germany: StVZO (German Road Traffic Licensing
Regulations)) and the DIN EN ISO specified on the rating plate, as well as any
other componentspecific standards. This specifically applies to bicycle safe
tyrelevant parts, such as the frame, fork, handlebar, stem, saddle, seat post,
luggage carrier (ISO 11243), all brake components (specifically brake lever &
brake linings), lights, foot pedal, wheels, trailer couplings, tyres and tubes.
