the brake linings.
4. Adjust the idle path of the brake lever again if necessary.
EXCHANGING THE BRAKE PADS
The brake linings (also called brake pads) wear when used.
Therefore, regularly check their wear and replace them without
delay, at the latest when brake force is lost:
1. Release the screws of the brake pads
right sides with a 5 mm hexagonal socket wrench.
2. Disconnect the brake cable
3. Replace the two brake pads.
4. Connect the brake cable
5. Then adjust the brake pads and the brake lever anew.
SETTING THE BRAKE PADS
The setting of the V-brake rim brake is the same on the front
and rear wheel. First align the brake pads in parallel with the
rim:
1. (If you have not done so yet,) release the screws of the brake
pads
with a 5 mm hexagonal socket wrench.

2. Align the loosened brake pads in parallel with the rim.
3. Tighten the brake pad screws
specifications).
Then adjust the distance from the brake pads to the rim:
The distance from the brake pads to the rim should be approx. 1
mm on either side. When the brake lever is actuated, both brake
pads must be in contact with the rim at the same time.
1. Adjust the distance of the brake pads by turning the setting screw
Increasing the distance from the rim
Reducing the distance from the rim
2. Then adjust the brake lever as described in the chapter "brake lever".
3. Repeat the process if the lever still closes too easily.
