DANGER OF ACCIDENT!
• The chain must be sufficiently lubricated at all times since it may otherwise
tear. The backpedalling brake is no longer functional then in models with a
WARNING!
backpedalling brake!
Clean and oil the chain at regular intervals (in particular after rides in the rain) with fine oil or
chain spray. Dab off excess oil with a rag.
CHAIN TENSION
DANGER OF ACCIDENT!
• If the chain is not tensioned enough, it may jump off during the ride. In
that case, the backpedalling brake will no longer be functional!
WARNING!
An incorrectly tensioned chain may cause increased wear and may cause annoying sounds dur-
ing the ride. The usage-related elongation of the chain requires regular inspection of the chain
tension.
CHECK CHAIN TENSION
1. Put the bicycle onto the stand.
2. Check that the chain can be pushed through up or
downwards by max. 10-15 mm (
