lines and leak-test according to
applicable codes before placing
the generator in service.
• Be sure to regularly inspect the
fuel system for leaks. NEVER
operate the generator if a fuel leak
is present.
• Install a fire extinguisher near
the generator. Keep it properly
charged and be familiar with
its use. An ABC rated National
Fire Protection extinguisher is
appropriate for use on standby
electric systems. Contact your
local fire department with any
questions concerning the fire
extinguisher.
