Power supply cables and air supply hoses must be positioned so that they cannot be
stepped on, pulled, or that they do not pose a risk of tripping.
Floor requirements
The tyre changer must be placed on a solid concrete floor. Any floor condition which may
allow the tyre changer to move during operation is unacceptable.
The depth of the floor must guarantee that anchor bolts are firmly held.
The support surface must have a load-bearing capacity of at least 1000 kg/m
Power supply requirements
The electric connection used must be suitably sized:
- for the electrical power absorbed by the machine, as
specified on the machine data plate;
- for the distance between the machine and the power
supply hook-up point, to ensure that the voltage drops
under full load do not exceed 4% (10% during start-up)
of the rated voltage specified on the rating plate.
The user must:
1. fit a power plug in compliance with current regulations
on the power supply cable;
2. connect the machine to its own electrical connection
(A) fitted with a suitable 30mA current sensitive circuit
breaker;
3. install protection fuses on the power line
that are suitably sized in accordance with the
indications provided on the machine data
plate;
4. connect the machine to an industrial
socket; the machine must not be connected to
domestic sockets.
A good earth connection is essential for correct operation of the machine.
