3. Place the sensor at 3 o'clock (valve at 9 o'clock).
4. Lower the bead breaker disc and start the rotational bead breaking stage.
5. Lubricate the bead and continue rotational upper bead breaking until the sensor is at
12 o'clock (valve at 6 o'clock) and not beyond.
6. Raise the bead breaker disc.
7. Move the sensor to 6 o'clock (valve at 12 o'clock).
8. Push on the bead breaker disc and fit the clamp at 2 o'clock.
9. Apply plenty of lubricant and break the lower bead.
10. Move the clamp to 2 o'clock (sensor at 6 o'clock and valve at 12 o'clock).
11. Position the demounting unit (tool head).
12. Lower the swing tool to find the bead.
13. Rotate clockwise so that the clamp is at 6 o'clock (sensor at 10 o'clock and valve at 4
o'clock). The bead is now engaged.
14. Engage the bead with the head.
15. Rotate clockwise to demount the tyre, with the bead breaker disc in the lower
position.
16. Remove the clamp.
17. Then demount the tyre underside, taking care not to damage the sensor.

3.3 Advanced Demounting Procedures

Always use this "checklist" as a guide when mounting tyres to ensure proper service.
There are four basic steps when mounting a tyre to a rim:
• Position the bead on top of the rear lip of mounting/demounting head.
• Position the bead under the front lip of the mounting/demounting head.
• Lock the tyre to the rim in the mounting position.
Slip the bead into the rim channel.
These four basic demounting steps do not necessarily follow the same sequence,
however all four steps need to be performed to properly mount a tyre to a rim.

3.4 Assembling Mounting/Demounting Head

Calibrating Mounting/Demounting Head
The mounting/demounting head is pre-calibrated from the factory, however,
double checking the calibration is recommended. Calibration requires the use of an
(approximately) 18 inch bare rim.
1. Clamp rim without tyre on the tyre changer turntable.
2. Before making any adjustments, loosen the four adjustment screws and tighten the
head retaining bolt until some grip is obtained.
