If this is the case, reposition the upper bead breaker disc as shown below. Lower the
upper bead breaking disc and push down to create a gap between the tyre and the rim
edge.
Raise the upper bead breaking disc, and proceed as described above.
Precautionary Notes
When basic procedures are NOT followed, sharp angled wheel flanges may increase
potential damage to tyres during mounting. Be sure the mounting head is placed on
the rim with sufficient gap between the bead and bead seat. If the tyre is incorrectly
pushed onto the rim by the side of the mounting head, it may become "trapped"
and increases mounting stress to the tyre bead.
Insufficient lubrication and failure to place tyre into the rim channel during mounting
may also damage the mounting/demounting head.
