3. ADVANCED PROCEDURE

The S 200 tyre changer family offers the user many advanced procedures on a variety of
rims and tyres. In order to allow the operator to take advantage of these features, details
of additional steps that can be taken are explained in this section.

3.1 Advanced bead breaking procedures

Bead Breaking "AH" Wheels (e.g. BMW M3, M5, some Porsche, Range Rover,
and Lancia models etc.)
"AH" (Asymmetrical Humps), with "Bead Locking System" wheels may be identified by
looking for "AH" in the rim size designation casting (e.g. 8X17-AH) on the back of the rim.
"AH" wheels are designed so that the lowest point of the safety hump is located at the
valve rod or 180 degrees out. These two points are located where it is easier to break
the bead from the bead seat.

Bead Breaking "AH" Wheels as follows:
To avoid possible damage to the valve and, if present, to the pressure sensor, start bead
breaking with the beads positioned at 180 ° compared to the pressure point of the bead
breaker disc. To make bead breaking easier, turn the wheel clockwise and anticlockwise,
alternatively, so as to prevent moving the bead breaker disc near the valve.
