STOPPING THE PRODUCT
The tool must be turned off at the end of the work session, therefore:
•
Press the ON-OFF button (3) to the OFF position.
•
Disconnect the power cable (18) from the tool, in the 12V battery version.
•
Take the battery out (24) by pressing on the safety catch (23) and then sliding it onto the guides (21), in the
21.6V version.
CAUTION
Take care to set down the tool without placing the weight of the tool on the rakes and/or bending or pulling the
power cable (18) and its connector.
Do not crush the cable (18) by placing weights or the tool itself on it.
6.3
PRODUCT HANDLING
Before moving the tool, in case of short trips, make sure that the tool is switched off by setting the switch to the
OFF position.
Once the above conditions have been met, proceed with handling by turning the harvesting head backwards with
respect to the direction of movement, ensuring that no persons, things or animals can come into contact with the
tool.
In the case of moving from different sites or for long journeys, in addition to the above are, it is also prescribed to:
•
disconnect the cable from the battery or remove the battery.
•
store the tool in its packaging
6.4
STORING
After use, or in the case of long periods of inactivity, it is prescribed to:
•
Follow the procedure for shutting down and securing the tool, above (see paragraph 6.3).
•
Remove residual dust and impurities in the harvesting head.
•
Follow all maintenance regulations described in the manual as well as current and applicable safety
standards.
•
Store the tool in its packaging
•
Position the tool in a sheltered, dry place.
