6.2
OPERATION
This paragraph sets out the conditions to be met in order to start the product.
6.2.1
PRODUCT START-UP
Once assembled as described in paragraph 5.2, proceed with start-up:
•
Switch the tool on by pressing the ON-OFF switch (3) to the ON position.
•
On the plug-in handle (2) the charge status of the plug-in battery can be displayed by pressing the switch
(22).
CAUTION!
The moment the ON-OFF switch (3) is pressed in the ON position, the tool starts working immediately. Be
sure to position the tool away from people or property. Failure to comply with the warning is potentially
dangerous for operator safety.
CAUTION
•
Before starting the product, make sure that the teeth of the harvesting head are not in contact with
foreign bodies and/or handling them does not create hazardous conditions
•
Never work on trees or ladders, since it is extremely dangerous.
•
Before starting work with the tool, wear protective clothes. Check that all the safety and protective
devices are functional and correctly assembled.
•
Check that all clamping screws are properly tightened (see chap. 7.1.1 tightening torques).
6.2.2
PRODUCT USE
Once the product has been switched on, as indicated in paragraph 6.2.1, it is mandatory to hold the product with
both hands, one hand on the handle (1 or 2) and the other on the extension pole (6), in order to use it correctly.
CAUTION
•
Use the product only for the purposes described under 'Product Description'. Any other use can cause
injury and is prohibited.
•
Only operate the product when it is inserted between the branches. Improper use causes greater wear
on the tool and does not save battery consumption.
•
Never disconnect the power connector while the tool is in use.
