Input: Throttle TH -CO
This input can be used to compensate for an unwanted
tendency to climb when the throttle is opened.
Input: Spoiler SP -CO
This input can be used to compensate for pitch trim
changes caused by airbrakes, Butterfly (crow) systems
or "raised aileron" spoilers.
Input: Flap F
-CO
This input compensates for pitch trim changes caused
by alterations to wing camber using the FLAP control.

MIXER
Menus: (
Only one value has to be set for the Throttle and
Spoiler compensation inputs.
Moving to the TH -CO menu:
(or SP -CO)
to MENU,
to MIXER,
to TH -CO,
Move the Throttle / Spoiler control to the "full-throttle" /
"spoiler extended" position, and set the desired value
using the 3-D digi-adjustor. Any changes you make are
immediately visible on the model.
A brief press
on the 3-D digi-adjustor concludes the
process. The flashing ceases, and the values are
stored.

Setting the compensation input for
camber-changing flaps
Menu: (
MIXER
For the input F -CO you have to set two values, as-
suming that you want to change wing camber both in
the up (speed) and down (thermal / launch) directions.
Moving to the F -CO menu:
to MENU,
to MIXER,
to F -CO,

Move the FLAP control (left-hand slider) to both end-
points in turn, and set the desired control surface trav-
els using the 3-D digi-adjustor. Any changes you make
are immediately visible on the model itself.

14.7. Camber-changing flap mixers

(inboard wing control surfaces)

In the GLIDER model type the mixer which controls the
two inboard flaps also has four inputs. Spoiler, aileron
and elevator can be superimposed on the primary Flap
input. The result of the mixing is passed to servos 6
and 7.
There are various methods of operating the inboard
flaps, according to the type of model:
a.
As spoilers only (Airbrake)
90° down-travel, full servo travel,
operated by the SPOILER control
b.
Spoiler + launch position
operated by the SPOILER control for "braking",
and the FLAP control for the launch setting
c.
Camber-changing flap, aileron support,
Spoiler (Butterfly / crow braking system)
All three modes of operation can be set up using the
mixer for the inboard flaps.
Caution: "Flap" has two meanings
Modellers usually refer to the inboard wing control sur-
faces as "flaps", and that is why we have used the let-
ter F as its code letter.
However, the C
OCKPIT
(left-hand slider), and "Flap" is also a mixer input for the
outboard / inboard control surfaces on the wing.
For airfoil modification (camber-changing flap func-
tion) use FLAP (left-hand slider) as the transmitter con-
trol, and the Flap input for the outboard and inboard
wing control surfaces.
For height loss / landing aid (Butterfly or airbrakes)
use the SPOILER control (right-hand slider or stick) as
the transmitter control, and the Spoiler input for the
outboard and inboard wing control surfaces.

The Flap input has two values which you have to set. If
you are setting up a new model, the default values are
-100% / 100%, i.e. the travel of the inboard flaps is the
same up and down (
