Before performing a procedure, hold the distal tip of the LithoVue Flexscope close to an object (about the
same distance as the width of the shaft) and ensure the video monitor displays a clear, sharply focused,
high-quality image. Confirm the "real time" appearance of the video image on the video monitor. Confirm
the image is oriented correctly.
If the image is not displaying in real time, is not oriented correctly, or is not clear and sharply focused,
see Section 7 "Troubleshooting" to resolve the problem before beginning the procedure.
If a DVI switcher and/or external monitor are being used, ensure the image displays properly before
beginning the procedure.

Use of the LithoVue System in a ureteroscopy procedure involves the following steps:
1. Plug the System Workstation into the hospital electrical supply outlet and ensure the switch on
the power transformer is turned on.
2. Place the System Workstation in a position such that it is convenient to the user during the
procedure (including adjusting the Touch PC's height and tilt as described in "Section 3.2 Cart
Adjustment".
3. Once the System Workstation is in position, lock the Cart casters to prevent unintentional
