• touch Pc
Do not open the Touch PC housing. The Touch PC has no serviceable components and does not
require routine maintenance or calibration. Contact Boston Scientific for repair or service using
the information found in Section 8 "Service and Warranty".
• cart
All fasteners associated with the Touch PC mounting system should be inspected periodically and
tightened as necessary.
Before each use, check the function of the tilt and height adjustment features of the Cart. For
directions on how to adjust the cart tilt and height, see Section 3.2 "Cart Adjustment".
• Power transformer and Power cord
In the event of a failure of the Power Transformer or Power Cord, replacement components can
be ordered from Boston Scientific.
WArnInG: Use of a non-approved power transformer or power cord may damage the
System Workstation�
The new Power Transformer and Power Cord may be replaced by a trained biomedical technician,
following the installation instructions provided in Section 3.2 "System Workstation Assembly".

7 troubleshooting

Most operating problems are easily resolved. If the LithoVue™ System does not operate as expected,
try to resolve the problem using the instructions contained in this section before contacting Boston
Scientific for technical support.
This section contains directions on how to isolate the System Workstation from the mains power
supply, as well as troubleshooting instructions for the following situations:
1. Loss of image (including image problems such as lost image, frozen image, delayed image or
other image ill-effects).
2. Loss of articulation control on the LithoVue Flexscope.
3. System Workstation power loss.
4. System Workstation becomes non-operational due to a hardware or software error.
7�1 ISoLAtInG tHE SyStEM WorKStAtIon FroM tHE MAInS PoWEr SUPPLy
To isolate the System Workstation from the hospital electrical supply outlet, disconnect the power cord
from the System Workstation.
cAUtIon: do not position the System Workstation such that it is difficult to disconnect from the
Mains Power Supply�

cAUtIon: In the event that the live video image becomes lost or unusable, StoP – do not

dEVIcES In tHE WorKInG cHAnnEL� Blind manipulation of the ureteroscope can result in
patient injury and/or scope damage.
If a user message is present on the System Workstation, refer to Table 7.1 for the potential cause and
troubleshooting steps. If no user message is displayed, conduct the following steps to correct the issue:
1. Disconnect the LithoVue Flexscope from the System Workstation.
2. Ensure that the Connector Cable and plug and Workstation Receptacle are undamaged.
