8.2 Cheesy leek soup (serves 4)
Ingredients:
500 g mince
500 g leeks
300 g potatoes (floury ones)
1.2 litres beef stock
200 g creamy soft cheese
Peel and dice the potatoes and parboil in a little of the stock.
When the potatoes are soft, leave them in the stock and set to one side.
Put a little margarine or vegetable fat in a pan and brown the mince at power level L10.
Clean the leek, chop into rings and add to the meat. Alternatively, you can use frozen leek.
Stir the leek into the meat and heat for another 5 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Then deglaze with the remainder of the stock.
Select the "Soup" function and allow to cook for around 30 minutes.
In the meantime, mash the potatoes in the stock.
When the leek is soft, stir in the mashed potato and the soft cheese.
Allow to cook for another 10 minutes and then season with salt and pepper.
8.3 Crispy chicken pieces (serves 4)
Ingredients:
500 g of chicken fillet or breast
300 g flour
100 g breadcrumbs
50 g of cornflakes
300 ml milk
1 litre frying oil
1 tsp baking powder
Wash the meat, pat dry with kitchen roll, cut into chunks and set to one side.
Put the flour, breadcrumbs and spices into a freezer bag and mix well.
Put the milk into a bowl and stir in a little of the flow mixture with a whisk until the milk becomes creamy.
Add the cornflakes to the remaining flour mixture in the freezer bag and crush slightly. Then pour the
mixture into a wide bowl.
200 g soft cheese with herbs
salt
pepper
a little margarine or vegetable fat for frying
4 tsp paprika
2 tsp salt
2 tsp pepper
2 tsp chilli powder if desired
2 tsp oregano
2 tsp thyme
