Power On/Off
The InZone Detachment System will power on when the funnel of the detachment
system has been correctly and sufficiently placed over the proximal end of
the delivery wire of a Stryker Neurovascular detachable coil (Target
or Matrix
). The electrical contacts inside the detachment system must be
contacted by a compatible Stryker Neurovascular coil delivery wire for the
detachment system to be activated. When no delivery wire is inserted or contact
is not detected, the detachment system will remain idle (i.e. not powered on).
When the delivery wire is removed, the detachment system will power off.
LED Displays & Indicators
System ready Indicator
The SYSTEM READY indicator shows solid green and gives a single
beep when the detachment system is ready to detach the coil. Once this
indicator is lit, the user can press and release the detachment button to
initiate current flow.
Current Flow Indicator
The CURRENT FLOW indicator shows solid green to signal that current
is flowing along the coil delivery wire. Current will not flow until SYSTEM
READY (OK) has been signaled and the DETACHMENT BUTTON has been
subsequently pressed and released.

Cycle Complete Indicator
The CYCLE COMPLETE indicator signals to the user that the system has
completed delivery of current. For detachment of Target Detachable Coils:
O n the first cycle, a signal of three short beeps and a solid green
light indicates that the InZone has assessed that detachment has
likely occurred.
O n the first cycle, a signal of one long beep and a blinking green
light indicates that the InZone has assessed that detachment has
not occurred.
F or the second cycle, regardless of signal type, detachment has
likely occurred.
For detachment of GDC or Matrix
2
and 3 short beeps indicate the cycle is complete in less than 75 seconds;
a blinking green light and one long beep indicate a full cycle is complete
in 75 seconds.
Grounding Indicator
When a GDC Detachable Coil or Matrix
the detachment system, the GROUNDING indicator will blink amber until
the patient is effectively grounded using the IZDS Connecting Cable
(UPN M00345110250) and a sterile 20- or 22-gauge uncoated stainless
steel hypodermic needle. Once a complete circuit has been detected
by the detachment system (upon correct patient grounding), the amber
light will stop blinking and become steady and the SYSTEM READY
(OK) indicator will show a solid green light accompanied by a single
beep. When the DETACHMENT BUTTON is pressed and released, the
GROUNDING indicator will turn off. Refer to the Troubleshooting section
of this DFU if there are problems with grounding indicator.
Low Battery Indicator
The LOW BATTERY indicator will blink amber when the battery inside the
detachment system is running low. If this indicator is on, the user should
prepare another InZone Detachment System for use.
Detachment Button
The white DETACHMENT BUTTON is located on the face of the InZone
Detachment System, and can be pressed and released by a gloved (sterile)
user to initiate current delivery after the system has signaled that it is ready for
detachment via the SYSTEM READY (OK) indicator.
Sleep Mode
After two minutes of inactivity while powered on (i.e. no active detachments
or button pressing), the InZone Detachment System will go into SLEEP MODE
to preserve the battery. In SLEEP MODE, all indicators are off. Pressing
and releasing the DETACHMENT BUTTON will bring the system back to its
previous state. Removing the detachment system from the delivery wire and
reconnecting will reset the system.
