Checking brake pads for wear (fig. 49)
Front brake pads have a wear mark to facilitate inspection

without removing the pads from the callipers. If the
grooves in the friction material are still visible, the pad is
still in good condition.
The rear brake pads must be replaced when friction
material is worn down to about 1 mm (fig. 49a); check
through the inspection hole in the callipers.

Have the brake pads replaced at a Ducati Dealer or
Authorised Workshop.
