ii Transportation, unpacking and contents
Transportation.
The wheel balancer is supplied on a pallet.
•
Use a pallet truck (Figure ii-1) to bring the wheel
balancer to its working area.
Unpacking.
WARNING: PREVENT THE STRAPS FROM
SPRINGING LOOSE AFTER BEING CUT.
• Cut the straps.
• Open the top of the packaging.
• Remove staples at the bottom of the packaging. Lift
the packaging up and over the unit.
• Carefully unwrap the balancer and spare parts
supplied.
• Check the contents of the shipment.
Contents.
The shipment contains:

a Wheel Balancer.
-
a Declaration of Conformity (CE).
-
the accessories listed in Chapter 3.1 of the
Operator's Manual.
-
a power supply unit.
-
a
User Calibration weight.
Tools required.
-
Strap cutters (Figure ii-2)
Positioning.
• Remove the straps that secure the wheel balancer
on the pallet.
CAUTION: DO NOT LIFT OR MOVE THE WHEEL
BALANCER BY THE MAIN SHAFT OR MEASURING
UNIT.

How to
move the wheel balancer from the pallet to its
working location.
• Lower one side of the machine laterally on the
floor.
• Remove the pallet from underneath the machine
and gently lower the entire machine onto the floor.
Handling
The balancer has wheels which allow it to be moved in
the workshop.
Moving the balancer close to the wheel to be balanced
is particularly useful for heavy wheels such as those
used on trucks. This makes the operator's work much
easier.
Note:
When handling the wheel balancer only
use the handles A and B, keeping the
balancer at an angle so that it runs on the
three wheels as illustrated.
