16. Maintenance

Risk of injury!
Carefully read the section "For your
safety" (
6.), particularly the
subsection "Maintenance and
repairs" (
6.9), and follow all
safety instructions exactly before
performing any maintenance or
cleaning operations on the
machine.
Activate the disabling
device prior to any
maintenance or cleaning
work. (
5.2)
Disconnect the mains
plug before performing
any maintenance
operations on the
docking station.
Always wear gloves
when carrying out any
maintenance work,
particularly when working
on the mowing blade.

16.1 Maintenance schedule

The maintenance intervals are based on
the operating hours among other factors.
The relevant "Mowing hours" counter can
be called up in the "Information" menu.
(
11.9)
The specified maintenance intervals must
be strictly observed.
Maintenance operations on days with
active times:
● Visually inspect the general condition of
the machine and the docking station.
0478 131 9933 A - EN
● Check the display – check current time
and the start of the next mowing
operation.
● Check the mowing area and remove
foreign bodies, etc. as required.
● Check that the battery is being charged.
(
15.8)
Weekly maintenance operations:
● Clean the machine. (
16.2)
● Visually inspect the mowing blade,
blade fastening and mowing deck for
damage (notches, cracks, fractures,
etc.) and wear. (
16.3)
Every 200 hours:
● Replace the mowing blade. A
corresponding reminder appears in the
display. (
16.4)
Annual maintenance operations:
● VIKING recommends an annual
inspection by a VIKING specialist
dealer during the winter months.
Here, maintenance of the battery,
electronics and software in particular is
performed.
In order for your specialist dealer to
perform all the maintenance
operations correctly, set the safety
level to "None" or give your
specialist dealer the appropriate
PIN code.

16.2 Cleaning the machine

Care of the machine will protect it against
damage and extend its service life.
Cleaning and maintenance position:
Place the machine on a firm, level and flat
surface for cleaning the upper side of the
machine (hood, remote control). To clean
the underside of the machine (mowing
blade, mowing deck), tilt the robotic mower
onto its left side as illustrated and lean it
against a wall.
● Clean off dirt with a brush or a cloth. In
particular, also clean the mowing blade
and the docking station.
● Detach accumulated clipping deposits
in the housing and in the mowing deck
beforehand using a stick.
● If necessary, use a special cleaner
(e.g. STIHL special cleaner).
● Regularly remove the carrier plate and
remove grass residues. (
