All other parameters for the selected substance
(measuring range, etc.) are updated automatically.
The selected substance is automatically selected as
target gas. During adjustment, any substance listed in
the library can be selected as the target gas. Manual
recalculation is not necessary.

13.3.3 Setting the gas unit
The measurement units ppm, %LEL and Vol% are available
depending on the target gas.
Set the LEL type as follows:
1. Select GAS - unit.
The display alternates between the current value and
the menu item.
2. Tap [OK].
The value flashes (data entry mode).
3. Tap [UP] / [DOWN] to scroll through the measurement
units.
4. Confirm with [OK].
The value is set and the menu is displayed again.
5. Tap [UP] until you have exited the menu.

13.3.4 Enabling or disabling PIR LOCK
The PIR LOCK function is a special feature of the PIR 7x00.
When PIR LOCK is enabled, the password of the
Polytron 57x0 is disabled. If the user needs to access the
menu of the Polytron 57x0, the PIR LOCK password must
then be entered.
Enable or disable PIR LOCK as follows:
1. Select PIR-LOCK-ON/OFF .
The display alternates between the current value and
the menu item.
2. Tap [OK].
The PIR LOCK password must be entered.
3. Enter the PIR LOCK password and tap [OK].
4. Set the PIR LOCK status:
● Tap [UP] to activate the PIR LOCK status (ON).
● Tap [DOWN] to deactivate the PIR LOCK status
(OFF).
5. Confirm with [OK].
6. Confirm with [OK].
The value is set and the menu is displayed again.
