Remedy
Clean optical surfaces. If
necessary, make sure that
the hydrophobic filter, pro-
cess cuvette, and process
adapter are installed cor-
rectly. See the sections
"Checking the measure-

transmitter and cleaning if
necessary" and "Errors,
causes, and remedies" of
the PIR 7x00 technical
manual for more informa-
tion.
A1 and A2 settings and tar-
get values are not identical.
Correct relay settings

Remedy
Press [DOWN] to select
instrument settings. Press
[UP] to select sensor set-
tings. Once a selection has

the display. Press [OK].
Continuous dashes appear
on the display and the
instrument then returns to
measuring mode.

Maintenance
– The maintenance intervals must be established for each
individual installation. Depending on safety considerations
and application specific conditions the instrument is used
in, these might need to be shortened.
Every 6 months:
– Inspection by trained service personnel.
– Check signal transmission to the controller (see "Testing
the analog interface", page 25).
– Check LEDs as well as the triggering of the alarm device
(see "Testing alarms/relays", page 24).
Regularly:
– Perform calibrations, see 8 Calibration

Only nitrogen (N
) may be used to test oxygen sensors (O
2
for the correct zero-point. A test does not adjust the sensor. If
the zero-point is not correct, contact Dräger or replace the
sensor.
