Part 1 Installation
IMPORTANT
Before the VCR can be used, it is
necessary to install the VCR and to
carry out adjustments on both the TV
set and the VCR itself. Normally, this
service will have been provided by
your VCR dealer. If not, the
instructions in this section must be
carried out.
The VCR is adjusted to accept the
mains voltage of the area in wich the
VCR is purchased and is indicated on
the Type Plate. If you move to an area
with a different mains voltage, let your
dealer make the necessary adaptation.
It is sometimes necessary to slightly
modify the circuit of the TV set for use
with VCR. Philips colour TV sets
carrying the VCR logo do not require
this modification.
The permission of the rental company
must be obtained before modifying
rented TV sets.
Place the VCR in a convenient
position near the television set but not
on the television set as the heat
generated may affect performance.
Remove the aerial plug from the
television set.
Interconnect the VCR, television set .
and aerial according. to the diagram.
Push the right side of the right-hand
drawer on the VCR and fully hinge out
the drawer. Connect the battery
supplied with the VCR and close the
drawer.
NOTE This battery takes over the
supply of the timer circuit in the event
of a mains failure and when the timer
has been activated.
