Part 3 Recording witha
camera and microphone of
tape recorder, etc.
This procedure makes use of Button 8
on the VCR. If you do not intend to
make your own recordings with a
camera, Button 8 can be used to pre-
select an eigth TV channel as
described on Page 62 for Buttons 1, 2,
3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.
Connect the camera to the VCR using
the interconnection cable(s) shown.
Any video camera with an r.f. output
may be connected in this way.
If you wish to have a sound
accompaniment to the video
recording, connect a microphone, a
record player or audio tape recorder
to the AUDIO socket at the rear of the
VCR. Carefully read the following
notes.
NOTES
@ a microphone with an impedance of
200 to 500 must be used
® when recording speech, the most
suitable distance between mouth
and microphone is approximately
30 cm
@ when recording vocal or
instrumental music, make a test
recording to find the most suitable
location for the microphone

@ the AUDIO input connector at the
rear of the VCR is a 5-pole socket.
For record players with a different
type of connector, an adaptor plug
(available from your dealer) must be
used
e if the record player has a HiFi
dynamic or ceramic pick-up
element, the record player must also
have a built-in pre-amplifier
@ an audio tape recorder can be
connected to the VCR with a cable
(part number 4822 321 20208)
@ whilst making a recording the signal
is available at the ANT OUT
connection at the rear of the VCR.
