Slide the cover over the clock controls
to the left.
If the display registers 1200 and
flashes on and off it means that there
has been a mains failure. By following
the procedure 'Set the correct time',
the flashing is stopped.
Press the START TIME button. If a dot
appears on the display between the
third and fourth digits, the stand-by
battery of the timer needs replacing as
detailed on Page 42.
NOTE: It is still possible to make blind
recordings using the timer controls
when the battery needs replacing.
However, in the event of an
interruption of the mains supply the
timing sequence will be upset.
Set the correct time
If necessary, set the correct time with
the pp or p button. (The clock is a 24
hour clock).

Set the correct day
Hold the DAY button pressed and,
with the button, choose the day on
which the desired programme is being
broadcast.
