Press down on the ribbed plate of the
cassette holder until the holder locks
in position within the VCR.
Ensure that there is no apparatus such
as a microphone, record player, tape
recorder, etc., connected to the
AUDIO input socket at the rear of the
VCR.
Switch on the TV set, and allow it to
warm up, then select the channel on
the TV set that is to show the
programme you wish to record.
Set the ON/OFF/EJECT lever to the
ON position (@).
The mains indicator lamp and the light
behind the tape counter are both lit.
NOTE when the VCR is switched on
and the tape stationary, like now, the
VCR will automatically switch off in
about 2 minutes unless one of the
tape motion keys is pressed.
After an unwanted automatic switch-
off, set the ON/OFF/EJECT
ever to
the ON position (4), then move to the
next instruction.
If the tape reel of the cassette (as
seen through the cassette holder
window) is empty, the tape has been
completely rewound. If not, press the
REWIND key to wind the tape to the
beginning. Wait until the REWIND key
automatically springs back.
