Part 2 Your cassettes
Storage
Always return the cassette to its case
immediately after use to prevent it
from being soiled.
Keep cassettes in their cases at room
temperature, away from the sun and
not close to loudspeakers or
transformers.
Cassettes with yellow cores
One type of cassette is packed in its
case together with a yellow core. This
core must be removed from the
cassette before inserting the cassette
in the VCR. Before returning the
cassetie to its case, replace ihe yellow
core.
Safeguarding an important recording
If the small lug on the side of a
cassette is knocked out with a
screwdriver or similar tool, the
cassette can only be used in the .
playback mode. It is then impossible
to accidentally erase the recording.
Erasing a tape without recording
A recording can be erased from the
tape without adding a new recording.
To do this follow the instructions
given in USING YOUR VCR, Part 1
(pages 4 to 10), but first disconnect
the aerial from the VCR. There is no
need to press any particular pre-
tuning button on the VCR.
