Now the sun direction is requested,
which the awning is to provide shade for.
By using + or – please select one of the
following possibilities: "from any direction",
"from east", "from south", "from west" or "set angle". Confirm your entry
with ok.
The sun angle (azimuth) is specified in
degrees (°). North is 0°, east 90°, south
180° and west 270°. The shading "from
east" implies a coverage from 0° to
180°, "from south" 90° to 270° and
"from west 180° to 0°.
If you select "set angle", you may adjust
the angle with a numerical value in the
next step. The sun must be within this
angle for the awning to provide shade.
The grey area in the illustration shows a schematic setting from 135° to
270°. Confirm the angle adjustment with ok.
•
Now the wind speed is requested, from
which the awning is to be retracted.
Select with + or – and confirm with ok.
If "outdoor awning" was selected in the basic setting (see chapter "Basic
adjustment of awnings", p. 111), then irrespective of the selected settings the
awning will be retracted in case of rain or wind alarm. If "indoor awning" was
selected in the basic setting, the wind and rain alarm is switched off. Blocking
temperatures that are not reached have priority over the sun intensity (please
see below, chapter "Blocking temperatures for awnings").
By pressing the menu key you may return to the automatic mode.
