10.5.2 Running HyperTerminal

Prepare HyperTerminal to capture results by loading a saved session file or by creating a new
session file as described in
2.
Click
Transfer > Capture Text
or type in a path and file name, then click
Any results transmitted to the computer from this
point forward will be captured in the designated text file.

Transmit results to the computer
following the instructions in
"Transmitting All Results" on
page
5-9. The results will appear
in the HyperTerminal window, as
shown in this example. In addi-
tion, the results can be manually
copied and pasted into other appli-
cations by highlighting the results
and using the Edit menu.
Note:
If the results do not appear in the HyperTerminal window, an incorrect port may have
been selected in setup. Repeat the setup and select a different port as described in
turing Results with HyperTerminal" on page
4.
After the results are transmitted, select
captured text file can be used by most word processing, spreadsheet, and database applica-
tions.
5.
Close HyperTerminal by selecting
"Capturing Results with HyperTerminal" on page
on the menu. Select
Start
Transfer > Capture Text > Stop
in the menu.
