Fault cause / fault correction
A connection between the laptop / PC and the ACU
cannot be established.
Network interfaces of laptops / PCs are not
configured correctly.
1. Check IP and netmask addresses of the network
interface.
2. Check that the IP address of the ACU has been
entered correctly in the address field of your browser.
3. Make sure that no other device on the LAN has the
same IP address.
Defective or wrong type of Ethernet cable.
1. Replace the Ethernet cable.
2. Use a crossover Ethernet cable if necessary.
Active proxy server.
1. Disable the proxy server in the network settings of
your laptop / PC.
The meter-count in SCU setup displays "invalid data" and
error code "A4".
Incorrect setting of installed meter.
1. Check the settings of the EDL21 meter in the ACU
setup.
The plug-locking device does not function correctly
during the charging process.
In the SCU setup, the value "Dummy Socket" is set
for "SCU Flow".
1. Check settings in SCU setup in "SCU Flow".
When updating the software, the update server cannot
be found.
No GPRS connection between ACU and update
server.
1. Check whether a valid SIM card has been inserted in
the ACU.
Poor or congested mobile phone connection.
1. Repeat the update process until a stable mobile
phone connection is established.
SIM card in the private network without connection
to the update server.
1. Check with your mobile network operator if a
connection to www.update.mennekes.de is possible.

The status "COM-Error" is output in the SCU setup.
No BUS connection between ACU and SCU.
1. Check the power supply to the SCU.
2. Check the bus connection.
The status "Error" is output in the SCU setup.
Incorrect settings (RFID reader, panel, meter) of the
SCU.
1. Check the settings in ACU setup based on the
displayed error code.
2. Confirm settings again by clicking "Apply".
3. Check the settings of the meter in ACU setup.
The LCD is not working and the error code "A11" is
output.
Incorrect setting of the installed display.
1. Check the display settings (SCU panel) in SCU setup.
When searching for SCUs, not all connected SCUs are
found.
No BUS connection between ACU and SCU.
1. Check whether the bus is connected properly.
2. Check the connecting cables.
3. In case of damage, replace the connecting cables.
4. Carry out the search process again.
Several SCUs with identical bus addresses are
connected.
1. Disconnect all SCUs from the bus (unplug).
2. Connect each SCU one by one to the bus and carry
out a separate search process for each SCU.
You have forgotten the password for the web interface.
The password of the ACU must be reset to the
factory settings.
1. Return the ACU to MENNEKES. In this case, please
contact our hotline.
