4.4 Setting up SCUs
You can skip this set for a pre-configured overall system.
In this case, the connected SCUs are already listed.
For the first-time commissioning of the SCUs, the ACU has
to detect the connected SCUs by applying a one-time search
operation. You can then set the appropriate parameters for
each SCU.
Searching the SCUs
Start the search process as follows:
1. Navigate to "Main Page > Setup > SCU setup".
2. Click on the "Search SCU" button (see chapter "SCU
Administration" on page 10).
If the ID of the SCU is known, you can explicitly search
the SCU using the ID. To do this, tick the box "ID
Search" and enter the ID of the SCU in the box. Click on
the "Search SCU" button to search only for this SCU.
The ID of the SCU can be found e.g. on the plain text
display (in case of Premium / Smart charging column) or
in the service interface (AMTRON).
The search process starts and runs for approx.
2 minutes. The connected SCUs are then listed.
3. Check whether all connected SCU are listed.
The ACU has detected and saved all connected SCUs.
If not all connected SCUs are found:
See chapter "List of malfunctions" on page 31.
Configure the SCUs
The ACU is connected to your laptop / PC and you are
logged in on the web interface.
Up to 16 SCUs are connected to the ACU via the RS-
485 bus and turned on.
1. Navigate to "Main Page > Setup > SCU setup".
2. Select the SCU to be configured with the "Setup"
button (see chapter "Settings" on page 11).
3. Configure the respective SCU considering the backup
values, circumstances and customer requirements. The
individual parameters are described on the following
pages.
4. If necessary, save the configuration you have made by
clicking the "Apply" button.
5. Restart the SCU:
To do this: Switch off the control fuse > Wait for 30
seconds > Switch on the control fuse again.
