Pressing operating lever for less than 6 seconds:
Releasing the operating lever after this interval results in a change from Partial Opening to Full Opening and
vice versa. When the operating lever is released, the blades are fully open, and if Partial Opening has been
selected, the cutting blade positions itself at the opening percentage.
The Partial Opening percentage of the blades is set by default to 90% of the maximum opening,
it can only be modified from the Smartphone App in a range from 50% to 80% of the full opening.
Single Click fast operating lever:
With shear enabled and in Partial Opening mode, it is possible to make a Full Opening cut by quickly clicking
and releasing the operating lever once. The shear emits a beep and the blades move to Full Opening. Once the
cut has been made, the shear returns to Partial Opening.
➢ AUTOMATIC SWITCH-OFF:
When the shear is switched on, key/lever inactivity for a period of 20 minutes or more results in the shear
automatically switching off, confirmed by a long beep.
➢ BATTERY/ALARM INDICATOR LIGHT:
The shear keypad has 3 indicator lights, two blue and one red.
The meaning of the lights is described below:

All lights on steady = Battery charge status from 75% to 100%

Red light and adjacent Blue light on steady = Battery charge status from 50% to 75%

Only red light on steady = Battery charge status from 25% to 50%
-
Only red light flashing = Battery charge status from 0% to 25%

All lights flashing = At least one Alarm triggered (see alarm list).
➢ ALARMS:
Alarms are displayed by the simultaneous flashing of the 3 indicator lights (except for the alarm relating to the
insertion of a non-compatible battery, which is also accompanied by a beep).
Following an alarm, the shear is prevented from functioning until the cause triggering the alarm is removed.
Below is a list of possible alarms that the shear can diagnose:

Incompatible battery: If a non-compatible battery is installed, the shear goes into alarm, preventing it from
working; the 3 indicator lights flash, and the shear emits an intermittent beep. SOLUTION: replace with
compatible battery

Over-temperature: If the detected temperature exceeds 70 °C for 30 seconds, the electronics go into
alarm, preventing operation. SOLUTION: wait until the temperature drops to about 20 °C.

If the above-mentioned malfunctions do not occur but the Shear remains in alarm, a failure or breakdown of
an electronic component is likely.
SOLUTION: take to a service centre.
➢ INTERRUPTED CUT:
In order to preserve the electronics and mechanical components of the shears, cutting is interrupted when there
is excessive strain on the cutting blade, caused by a branch that is too hard or too large in diameter.
The blades, following the interrupted cut, open automatically to free the branch.
3.6 OPERATION FROM SMARTPHONE APP
The Smartphone App specifically for this operation is available for both iOS and Android systems and can connect
to the shear, via Bluetooth, in order to view and manage certain parameters.
The App is compatible from version 6.0 for Android and version 11 for iOS.
For parameter display and management, the shear must be switched on.
All three indicator lights flashing in sequence means that the shear is pairing with the App.

This parameter allows you to vary the blade opening by selecting one of the allowed steps.
Default value at delivery of 70%.
Minimum opening value 50%
Maximum opening value 80%.
