Characteristics of the adhesive/sealant used
The adhesive data sheet in this section only contains the main technical characteristics required for purchase, but
not the safety information related to its use.
Before use, request the 'product safety data sheet' from the manufacturer, which can also normally be found on the
supplier's website.
The manufacturer prescribes the use of LOCTITE ® adhesive/sealant.
The adhesive enables maintenance personnel to prevent persistent equipment failures that cause unscheduled
downtime.
The manufacturer prescribes the use of 'LOCTITE® 270™': high-strength threadlocker formulated to lock and seal
screws and/or bolts to prevent loosening due to vibration.
Tolerates light contamination by industrial greases/oils, e.g. cutting oils. It can be disassembled by heating up to
300°C.
The main features:
High-strength threadlocker for maximum effectiveness
Prevents loosening of vibrating parts such as pumps, gearboxes or presses
Tolerates light contamination by industrial oils, e.g. cutting oils
Excellent on any metal, including passive materials (e.g. stainless steel, aluminium, galvanised surfaces)
It can be disassembled by heating up to 300°C.

locking and/or sealing of threaded fasteners requiring normal disassembly with standard hand tools.

250°C.
