3.5 GENERAL OPERATING CHARACTERISTICS
This paragraph describes the general operating characteristics of the product purchased.
Before describing the function keys, it should be noted that the provided operating modes are:
A- AUTOMATIC cutting mode
In this work mode, the blades make a single cut each time the operating lever is actuated/pressed.
B- PROGRESSIVE cutting mode
In this work mode, the blades close progressively depending on the actuation/pressure of the operating lever.
DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTIONS:
➢ POWER BUTTON:
The functions related to the power button are listed below:
Turn shear on: After connecting the battery, the shear electronics switches off. Pressing for at least 1
second causes the electronics to switch on, confirmed by a short beep.
Turn shear off: With the shear switched on, keeping the power button pressed for at least 1 second
causes the electronics to switch off, confirmed by a long beep.
Double Click: With the shear switched on, double-clicking the power button causes the Shear to switch
from the Proportional Cut function to the Automatic Cut function and vice versa.
The shear emits an audible signal described below:
- 1 Beep: Automatic Cutting
- 2 Beeps: Proportional Cutting
The default configuration when supplying the Shear is for Full-Opening Automatic Cutting.
➢ PROPORTIONAL OPERATING LEVER:
The functions relating to the operating lever are listed
Enable Shear:
To be able to use the shear after it has been switched on, blade movement must be enabled. Double-clicking
the operating lever enables the blades.
When the operating lever is released, the Shear emits a number of beeps corresponding to the type of cut
selected, and the blades position themselves fully open: The shear is enabled to cut.
Pressing operating lever from 3 to 6 seconds:
Keeping the operating lever pressed during this time, when released, disables the shear with closed blades to
be put back in holster. The shear remains switched on (see Automatic Off Time), but disabled, i.e. blades not
working.
To reactivate the shears for cutting, the operating lever must be pressed and released quickly twice (Double
Click).
