7.1.2 ADJUST THE CUTTING BLADE
This section contains the information and instructions to be observed to correctly adjust the cutting blade
Specifically, the following operations must be carried out in the order indicated:
•
Unscrew the screw (20).
•
Slide off the anti-rotation washer (19)
•
Turn the blade nut (8) clockwise to compress the blade (3) or anti-clockwise to loosen it.
•
For correct blade tension (3), tighten the nut (8) to the specified torque.
•
Insert the anti-rotation washer (19). With the washer in place, tighten or loosen the nut (8) to centre the hole (A)
for the M3 screw (20).
•
Tighten the screw (20) to the specified torque.
The product can only be used after the above-mentioned operations have been correctly performed and the activity
successfully checked.
7.1.3 BLADE LUBRICATION
Depending on the time of use, and in any case periodically, the friction areas must be lubricated to safeguard
both blades and mechanical components.
Lubrication must be carried out via the cap with hole (10) on the blade pin (see section 3.3).
NOTE: The blades must only be lubricated using the hole in the cap as shown in the figure.
Periodically clean the lubricant inlet hole if the hole is plugged by soil residues,
foliage and various impurities.
Replace the perforated cap (10) if it is damaged.
Refer to paragraph 7.3.3 for the required type of lubricant.
