4.13.10 CIRCUIT FAULTS
Due to possible failures, control, safety and power supply circuits/components may lose part of their
effectiveness, which may lower the safety level.
Carry out periodic checks on the functional state of the devices/components on the product and all connections
4.13.11 LIGHTNING
Since it is a hand-held tool that is used outdoors, it is not equipped with protection against the effects of lightning.
Inform the personnel in charge of maintenance and ensure that they are duly instructed in the performance of
the task, as well as aware of the residual risks present.
It is forbidden to carry out any activities during adverse weather conditions (risk of lightning or thunderstorms).
4.13.12 RISK OF SCALDING/BURNS
On the cutting area, there is a potential risk of scalding if there is no or inadequate lubrication.
Inform the personnel in charge of maintenance or use of the product.
Access these areas by first waiting for these parts to cool down and wearing suitable temperature protection
gloves, taking great care.
4.14 ADDITIONAL HAZARD PRESCRIPTIONS
DANGER
Never use the product if it is damaged, wrongly regulated or only partially assembled.
Do not use the product if the ON/OFF switch does not work correctly.
Do not use the product while operating on a ladder, scaffolding or a surface that is not the ground level
and/or not a stable surface.
Do not use the product near electrical cables
Exercise caution and concentration on the activities you are performing by using common sense and
observing the applicable safety regulations when using the product.
Do not touch any type of moving parts, just as it is forbidden to carry out maintenance (routine and/or
extraordinary) with moving parts. It is a mandatory requirement to disconnect power before carrying out any
maintenance activities.
It is forbidden to use petrol, solvents or other flammable products to clean or wash the product.
Do not tamper with, modify and/or by-pass the guards, command, control and safety devices on the product.
DANGER
Before starting the product, make sure that the blades are not open and that they are not in contact with foreign
bodies or live parts.
Get into a stable and safe working position, which guarantees perfect balance (for example a flat and dry surface).
Use the product, accessories, etc. in compliance with these instructions and considering the working conditions
and operations to be performed.
Always check before each use that the safety and command and control systems are in perfect working order.
Hold the product firmly using the hand most suitable for the operator, ensuring a firm grip with three fingers and
thumb on the handle and index finger ready to press the operating lever.
Pay particular attention to the handle, which must always be dry, clean (pruning residues, oil, etc.).... using the
PPE provided.
Pay attention when cutting branches under tension, since they may cause loss of control of the product due to a
whiplash effect.
When in contact with material other than wood (e.g. vineyard wire, vineyard support poles, etc.), the blades can
be damaged as well as cause sparks. Please note that it is forbidden to use the product for any purpose other
than stipulated in paragraph 3.1.
Keep the blades clean and sharp and lubricated.
Inhaling atomised oil and/or wooden dust may cause irritation or intoxication of the operator's breathing
apparatus. In case of prolonged ailments, consult a competent doctor.
Prevent any unintentional switch-on of the tool. When handling or transporting the tool, make sure it is switched
off and disconnected from the power source (battery/battery pack).
