1.8 Tailskid
Bend the tailskid to shape from 3 mm Ø spring steel rod as shown in the drawing. Make up two
U-shaped brackets from 1.5 mm Ø mild steel rod as shown, and solder them to the skid. Drill
holes for the wire brackets in the underside of the tail boom and fit the ends through them. Splay
them on the inside, and secure with epoxy.
1.9 Tail cap
The tail cap is fixed to the model using six 2.2 x 6.5 mm self-tapping screws. Cut it away at the
top to provide clearance for the tail rotor linkage.
