a working position.
8- Bring the mounting head to a working position.
9- Tilt the tyre so that the bead is below the mounting head in the 12 o'clock position,
press it down manually at 4 o'clock and start turning the turntable until the first bead has
been completely mounted (see Fig. W/15).
WARNING: In all phases in which the turntable must be turned,
the rim and the tyre must move together to avoid damaging the
valve with the sensor when crossing the traction points.
MOUNTING THE SECOND BEAD
1- Place the valve at approximately 5 o'clock.
2- Place the bead pressing arm in a working position with the bead breaker disc on its
end stroke.
3- Release the fixed bead pressing tool arm, removing the specific pin (Fig. W/16), turn
it to the working position and relock it with the pin (Fig. W/17).
4- Adjust the position of the bead pressing disc according to the rim diameter.
5- Using the knob, adjust the distance between the disc and the head (see Fig. W/18);
this distance must be reduced to a minimum.
6- Turn the rotating arm of the PT anticlockwise until it is next to the fixed arm.
7- Place the edge guard at approximately 4 o'clock or in any case in line with the traction
point.
8- Lower the bead pressing arms until the tyre bead is placed at the same height as the
well (see Fig. W/19).
9- Visually check that the traction point is in line with the edge guard. If it is not, turn
the turntable until it is in line.
10- Start turning the turntable and at the same time manually accompany the moving arm
as it rotates (see Fig. W/20).
WARNING: During this phase, check that the bead section between the fixed and the mo-
ving disc is always inside the rim well (see Fig. W/20). If this is not the case, repeat the
operation from the beginning and increase the initial pressure.
N.B. Always check that the traction point remains above the edge guard.
