The Test mode makes it possible to:

5.4.1.

Adjust the offset

This function makes it possible to adjust the default 4 mA current value.
→
Connect a multimeter into the measurement loop.
→
Press the ENTER key when the message "OFFSET" is displayed: The transmitter gene-
rates a 4 mA current.
→
Enter the value measured by the multimeter.

Adjust the default 20 mA current value: refer to chap.
default 4 mA value (parameter "OFFSET") is taken into account when leaving the para-
meter "SPAN".

Adjust the span

This function makes it possible to adjust the default 20 mA current value.
→
Connect a multimeter into the measurement loop.
→
Press the ENTER key when the message "SPAN" is displayed: The transmitter generates
a 20 mA current.

Adjust the offset (4 mA).
Adjust the span (20 mA).
Read the rotation frequency of the paddle-wheel;
Simulate a flow rate.
Go back to the Read mode by saving the new OFFSET and
SPAN adjustments.
If one at least of these values is erroneous, the device automati-
cally points at "OFFSET" again, and new values must be input.
