CAUTION
If this is the first installation or a spare part,
keep the batteries vertical and in a dry place
without any heat sources nearby. For all other
information please refer to the machine's
storage conditions as given in this document.
INSTALLATION
WARNING
Carry out the unpacking, assembly, lifting and
installation operations described with care.
Failure to comply with these instructions could
damage the machine and put the operator
at risk.
IMPORTANT Depending on the different ma-
chine configurations that can be ordered, some
components or subsystems in this manual might
not correspond to what you have ordered.
Assembling the equipment
- Unpack the equipment, placing the packaging
in the position shown by the markings on it.
- Remove the monitor from its packaging.
- Fit the monitor in its position threading the
power supply and signal cables through the
specific slot; secure the monitor base with the
specific clamp and lock everything with the
screws supplied with the aligner. If a monitor
with a very small base is used, use also the
adapter supplied with the aligner.
- Remove the rear panel of the lower cabinet.
- Take the aligner Sim Card (Fig. 52) and remove
it from its profiled support (keep the Sim Card
support, with serial number
you may have or future assistance).
a) If you are using the SIM CARD READER, put
the sim card in the connector (A, fig.53 with
the box open) with the golden contacts fac-
ing down and the chamfered side facing the
outside of the reader (B, fig.53). Put the front
back on (fig.54). The reader can be put on the
table by the side of the PC;
b) If you are using the HARD LOCK device, put
the Sim Card in its connector (extractable
and recallable using any pointed objected,
as shown in fig.55) with the golden contacts

facing down and the chamfered side facing
the outside of the reader (A, fig.55). Reinsert
the extractable connector now holding the
Sim Card.
- Take the PC out of the packaging.
- Position the computer on the upper vertical
column.
- Plug the cables into their connectors. All plugs
are marked unequivocally on their PC sockets.
Put the plugs right in without any excessive
force and screw down any safety screws there
may be.
- The aligner is supplied ready for a 230 Vac
power supply.
- Put the power cable in the plug on the robot-
ized unit recharging station but before doing
this read the "electrical hook-up" chapter.
- Turn on the aligner with the main switch and
the monitor and the printer with the specific
switches.
- Update the wheel aligner software if neces-
sary, "Updating the Wheel Aligner Software"
section, and install any optional kits, "Installing
Additional Functions" section.
