14.0 CLEANING
14.1 Maintenance
Routine table care will assure many years of trouble-free service.
14.2 Cleaning and Disinfecting
Do not pour any liquid on the table top
Do not subject a modular table top to an equipment washing machine.
Refer to appropriate manual for your specific modular table base for recommended
cleaning instructions.
14.3 Table Top
Surface should be regularly wiped clean with a mild detergent solution and wiped dry
with a soft lint-free cloth.
Avoid exposing the table top to excessive moisture. Flooding, fogging or steam
cleaning is not recommended.
Blood or other fluids, etc., if allowed to remain on the table top for a long period of
time, will require special cleaning to remove. A 5% acetic acid solution or white
vinegar and water solution is especially good.
Staining and discoloration of plated or stainless steel surfaces can be corrected by
cleaning with a good commercial cleaning compound, such as Stainless Steel Magic
and then buffing surface by hand.
To disinfect exterior surface, use a quaternary ammonium or similar type disinfectant
compound according to the manufacturer's directions for use. Wipe dry with a soft
lint-free cloth.
NOTE: Failure to thoroughly dry surface after cleaning and disinfecting may result in
the rusting of the surface.
USE OF IODOPHORS WILL CAUSE STAINING.
14.4 Casters
Casters should be cleaned and disinfected in the same manner as table top.
14.5 Table Pads
Clean table pad with mild detergent solution. Do not submerge the pads in water.
Rinse thoroughly with clean cloth; dry using lint-free cloth.
Wipe dry.
