8.9.7 Disengage the H-frame above the foot end crossbar by removing the T-
pin that couples the upper H-frame to the crossbar and remove the foot
end H-frame (see Figure 52).
Make certain to remove only the T-pin at the foot end that couples the imaging
top and upper H-frame. Removing the wrong T-pin will result in the patient being
dropped.
8.9.9 The two attendants should lift and remove the Radiolucent Imaging Top
away from the patient and place the top on the equipment storage cart.
8.9.10 Disengage the H-frame from above the head end crossbar by removing
the T-pin that couples the upper H-frame to the crossbar.

8.9.11 Extra pillows may be positioned under the feet and lower legs to increase
knee flexion angle and to prevent the feet from contacting the leg support
section in the case of tall patients.
8.9.12 The buttock strap should be applied across the lower gluteal area. The
strap should be secured cephalad of the hip pads around the table frame
and back into the corresponding buckle. Verify that the buttock strap is
low on the gluteal area, surrounds both the hip pads, and is secured
snugly around the buttocks. A blanket can be used under the buttock
strap to protect the patient from direct contact with the strap if desired.
8.9.13 Apply the safety strap across the patient's calves, around the table and
secure with the buckle. The strap should be tight enough to secure the
legs against the pillows if the table is laterally tilted. Apply a safety strap
around the patient's torso, chest pad and table and secure the buckle.
