5 IMPORTANT INFORMATION

5.1 DESCRIPTION

The CB is a mechanical microkeratome with a single-use or metallic (reusable) head.
It consists of:
• a CB pneumatic turbine (#19303)
• a single-use CBSU for artificial chamber including a pre-assembled blade, or reusable CBm-ALTK
metallic head (to which a sterile blade needs to be attached).
The CB microkeratome is used with the EVOLUTION 2, 3 et 3E console. Please refer to the corresponding
user guide for more information.

5.2 INDICATIONS

• Resection of donor cornea (graft mounted on the artificial chamber):
CBm-ALTK or CBSU heads for artificial chambers are indicated for a complete corneal lamellar
(hingeless) resection on the graft.
• Corneal resection of the recipient's eye:
The CBm-ALTK head is indicated for performing a complete (hingeless) lamellar resection on the
recipient's eye.
